My dream day away from school

I should've been born in 1965. That's when my mom was born and whenever she talks about her college years, i get so jealous!! I wish I could've experienced this era! Anyway, have you ever heard of a movie called Ferris Bueller's Day Off? Lexi Tyrrell's Day Off should be the sequel. Just saying.  It's a great 80's movie about the high school senoir, Ferris, who decides to take a day off of school. He brings along his girlfriend Sloane and his bestfriend Cameron and embarks on an epic adventure of touring Chicago and avoiding the school principal, his sister, and his parents at the same time. All in all, it's an amazing movie and one of my very favorites. A lot of famous sayings come out of this movie, and its a must see film! Starring Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara, and Alan Ruck, this classic was released in 1986, but it still lives on to this day. If you haven't seen it, i demand that you watch it this instant!
"Ladies and gentlemen, you are such a wonderful crowd, we'd like to play a little tune for you. It's one of my personal favorites and I'd like to dedicate it to a young man who doesn't think he's seen anything good today - Cameron Frye, this one's for you."

80's era

Hey brat pack! This is my new blog for my English class. I'm going to be posting about the 80's era! The music and movies of this particular era are one of the things that really interest me, along with 80's fashion. Ever since I was little, I've been involved in the music, and when I got old enough, I started watching the movies.  My parents have always been 80's fans, so I have been surrounded by the culture all my life. The title of my blog, Just Like Heaven, is a song by the English 80's band The Cure. Their album Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me, made it to the U.S's top 40, and number 6 in the U.K in 1987. They have many great songs and are one of my favorite bands, I hope you look them up! Have a rockin night!
